Competition Stream: NCCP Competition Introduction - Provincial Coach

Entry Pre-Requisites:
1. Primary STARSkate Coach Home Study
2. 3-day Figure Skating course

Training Requirements:
1. Intermediate STARSkate/Provincial Coach (ISPC) Home Study
2. ISPC Training (5 days): Sport Science, Stroking & Skating Skills, Singles, Dance, and Pairs & Synchronized Skating
3. Valid First Aid course (every three years)

Requirements for Intermediate STARSkate Coach "Trained" Status:
1. Completion of Home Study, Sport Science, Stroking & Skating Skills, Singles, Dance, and Pairs & Synchronized Skating Workbooks

Requirements for Intermediate STARSkate Coach "Certified" Status:
Successful completion/evaluation of the following:
1. Video Lessons:
- One (1) technical video lesson with a lesson plan at the juvenile or pre-novice competitive level (festival/qualifying competitive level for synchro) and;
- One (1) stroking lesson or skating skills lesson with a lesson plan at the juvenile or pre-novice competitive level (festival/qualifying competitive level for synchro).
2. Video Analysis and Music CD/Cassette: Submit a video analysis and music CD or cassette tape of a juvenile or pre-novice skater/team (festival/qualifying competitive level for synchro) whose program you have designed or choreographed.
3. Have skaters pass juvenile or pre-novice competitive tests (festival/qualifying competitive team compete at the regional/festival/sectional level competition for synchro). A copy of the test summary sheet for each test passed must be submitted with your Practical Coaching Record Form.
4. Have a skater/team qualify and compete at a Sectional Championship level or higher caliber competition (i.e. Junior Nationals, Nationals, etc.) and provide a protocol of the event as proof with your Practical Coaching Record Form.
