Entry: Competition-Introduction/Instruction-Intermediate trained coach Core Training Requirements:
1. Complete a Level 3 theory course
2. Complete a Level 3 general subjects course
3. Complete a Level 3 technical course (Singles, Pairs, Dance, or Synchronized Skating)

Evaluation Requirements:
1. Successful completion of a workbook assignment
2. Successful completion of yearly plan

Certification Requirements:
1. Completion of a Coach Portfolio (practical coaching record of a Senior Silver/Gold STARSkate level athlete
2. Program analysis of the performance (on video/DVD) of a coach’s athlete/team’s free program (error detection/correction)
3. Teaching Component on-ice: completion of two lessons (technical skill and stroking/skating skills lesson) at the Senior Silver/Gold level (level of skill, communication of information, ability to detect and correct errors)
4. Interview covering all components covered in the training requirements listed above
